Whitney McLamb

Whitney grew up locally in the small town of Benson and now calls the neighboring small town of Angier "home". After meeting her husband in high school, they both attended NCSU (Go Pack!) and married shortly after graduation in 2013. They spent the next 10 years living near downtown Raleigh; Trey working in the software customer success world and Whitney working as a preschool teacher at a local Christian school. Upon the birth of their daughter in 2017, Whitney became a stay-at-home mom, and lifestyle / birth / church photographer. Whitney loves to spend time outdoors with her family and friends, traveling to explore new cultures (especially sampling their variety of food!), read a good book and listen to live music. Whitney and her family are also currently pursuing the sacred calling of foster care and adoption!

After homeschooling their daughter for kindergarten, Whitney began exploring different models of support for their schooling. And praise God that He led her to the university model of HLA! After their very first interview, her and Trey knew they had found the right fit! After spending time as "room mom" and building a beautiful place of community, Whitney began to pray about other capacities to serve at HLA. After her extensive time serving in both counselor and administration roles at a local Christian camp, and also serving in childcare and administration roles at her church, she was excited to find that the Bible Formations role needed to be filled! Whitney is looking forward to partnering with the HLA parents and teachers to guide and lead your child on their spiritual journey this year!
