Alana Catalano

Alana Catalano moved to NC from Texas at the age of 5 and considers herself close enough to a native. :) She attended Appalachian State University, where she met her husband and graduated Magna cum Laude with a BS in Elementary Education. After teaching a short while, she stayed home with her four daughters and has been homeschooling since 2012. She returned to teaching in 2015, first at a christian co-op, followed by a classical hybrid-model school, and has been teaching ever since. Alana loves working with children and finds joy in weaving the gospel and character building into her lessons. God led her and three of her children to HLA in 2024.
Alana and her family enjoy trips to the mountains to hike and the beach for relaxing. She loves the beauty of God's creation, especially sunsets, and is reaping the benefits of older children who love to bake! Her family is now settled in Fuquay-Varina.
